About Us
Our monthly membership meetings are held on the second Tuesday, socializing at 6:00 PM and meeting at 7:00 PM.  From October through April, we meet at the Sedro-Woolley Eagles and in the summer  "May through September"at the Les Hilde Trailhead in the Harry Osborne State Forest.  Please, drop in anytime
We  are an organization of men and women concerned about sustained equestrian access and proper use on our public lands. Since 1975 efforts of the Sedro Woolley area horsemen payed off in the development of the trailhead and trails in the Harry Osborne State Forest. In 1985 the Skagit Chapter held the dedication, noting Les Hilde and Mack Johnson as tireless workers for this project.  The Skagit Chapter of the Backcounty Horsemen had continued theses efforts by adopting the the trail system.
